The Heart of Music in Western Sydney

Penrith Conservatorium of Music has been at the heart of music education in Western Sydney for 35 years. Established in 1990 and located within the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Penrith Con has built a reputation for excellence, inclusivity, and community connection.

Our purpose-built facilities — including teaching studios, rehearsal spaces, and the renowned Richard Bonynge Concert Hall — support a vibrant learning environment for students of all ages and skill levels. From young beginners to aspiring professionals, we offer high-quality private lessons, group classes, and a dynamic ensemble program led by experienced tutors from across the globe.

We believe music is for everyone. Whether you’re preparing for an audition, working towards an exam, or simply playing for joy, Penrith Con provides the support, inspiration, and expertise to help you grow.

Our home at The Joan allows students to learn and perform in the same world-class venue that hosts nationally and internationally acclaimed musicians, theatre companies, and dance ensembles — alongside community events and local talent.
