Take your playing to the next level with LiveWire Band, Penrith Conservatorium of Music’s dedicated pop/rock ensemble for young musicians. This year‑long program gives students the chance to rehearse, create, and perform contemporary music in a high-energy, supportive band environment.
Across 5‑week rehearsal blocks each term, students develop ensemble skills, build confidence on their instrument, and learn how to perform as part of a cohesive band.
Guided by experienced contemporary music educators, participants work on repertoire, listening skills, creative communication, and stagecraft all while having fun making music with others.
The program includes:
• Weekly structured rehearsals
• Contemporary repertoire development
• Ensemble musicianship and band communication
• Performance preparation
• Two public performance opportunities per year
Instrumentation
LiveWire Band welcomes a range of contemporary instruments, including:
- Electric Guitar
- Bass Guitar
- Drum Kit
- Keyboard

- Additional instruments (e.g., acoustic guitar, saxophone)
Perfect for developing musicians ready to perform, collaborate, and grow in a real band setting.
