Applications are accepted year-round. Places are offered based on performance level and ensemble experience.

If no immediate position is available for your instrument, we will add your details to our waiting list and contact you when an opening arises.

Payment is by invoice, issued at least one month before the start of the term.

Permissions and Agreements

Personal information will be handled in accordance with privacy legislation and will not be shared with other organisations without the individual’s consent.

By enrolling for a Semester or Full Year, parents/guardians accept that no credits, transfers, or refunds will be provided for missed rehearsals, workshops, or performances within the enrolment period.

Missed activities cannot be credited towards future terms, semesters, or years, regardless of the reason for absence. Enrolment fees secure the student’s place in the program for the stated period and contribute to the overall running costs of the orchestra.

Parental Permission

I, the parent/guardian, give permission for my child to participate in Penrith Youth Orchestra (PYO) activities in 2026 as outlined on the PYO website. I will ensure that the above-named student attends all rehearsals, workshops, and performances unless prior permission for absence is granted by the Music Coordinator.

I understand that tutors and staff will not accept responsibility for the supervision of participants before the commencement or after the completion of each rehearsal, workshop, or performance.

I agree to indemnify Penrith Performing & Visual Arts Ltd against any personal loss, injury, or damage that may arise from participation in PYO activities, except in cases where Penrith Performing & Visual Arts Ltd is negligent or otherwise at fault.

Media Permission

I, the parent/guardian of the above-named student, give permission for my child to be photographed, filmed, or interviewed during all PYO activities, including those conducted by Penrith Conservatorium of Music, project partner ensembles, and accredited news media.

I consent to the use and reproduction of such media for fundraising, promotional, and educational purposes. This may include, but is not limited to: marketing materials, news articles, concert programs, information brochures, donation campaigns, and social media posts.
